Weight Watchers Turkey Stuffing
I enjoy food a lot and have trouble limiting my portions. It makes it a little easier for me to eat healthier options during the holidays, like Weight Watchers Pumpkin Pie Tarts and this yummy stuffing. I also love that this recipe doesn't have a ton of ingredients…EASY is best!
INGREDIENTS FOR WEIGHT WATCHERS TURKEY STUFFING
Stuffing recipes have some basic ingredients, and this one falls into that category. The main difference is using turkey sausage and high-fiber, lower-calorie bread to help keep the points down!
- turkey sausage
- onion
- celery
- Nature’s Own Life Double Fiber Wheat Bread (or other 1 pt per slice dense wheat bread)
- egg
- 2 % milk
- poultry seasoning
- salt & pepper
- Nonstick Cooking Spray
HOW TO MAKE WW TURKEY STUFFING
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Spray your baking dish with nonstick cooking spray if desired.
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage until it is fully cooked.
- Add in the onion and celery and cook until the vegetables are soft.
- Next, stir in the bread and stir to coat it with the fat from the sausage.
- In a separate bowl, mix the remaining ingredients and pour over the sausage-bread mixture.
- Let this soak in for a little bit.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes uncovered.
Weight Watchers Points
I used the Weight Watchers Recipe Builder to calculate the points.
I calculated 12 portions for this recipe by cutting my 9 x 13 baking dish into 12 pieces. One portion is a serving.
That means that each serving is only 3 points per serving for the blue, green and purple myWW plans.
On the current Weight Watchers Program (2023), it is 3 points per serving.
That isn't bad at all for a side dish at a holiday meal!
